Due to the passing of a member of the Council, a supplementary election is necessary to fill the vacancy of Councillor for Outer Harbor Ward.

Close of roll

The voters roll for this supplementary election closes at 5pm on Friday 30 July 2021.

You can check if you are on the state electoral roll online on the Australian Electoral Commission's website (external link). If you do not appear on the roll and are an Australian citizen aged 18 or over you should enrol immediately via the Australian Electoral Commission website (external link).

If you are not eligible to enrol on the state electoral roll you may still be entitled to enrol to vote if you own or occupy a property or are a resident non-Australian citizen. Contact the Council to find out how on 08 8405 6600 or visit the City of Port Adelaide Enfield (external link).

Nominating

Becoming a member of council is a great way to represent and help make a difference to your local community.

The nomination period for the vacancy of Councillor for Outer Harbor Ward will open on Thursday 26 August 2021 and will close at 12 noon, Thursday 9 September 2021.

If you are interested in nominating, nomination kits will be available from the Council office once the nominations period has opened.

Candidate briefing session

A candidate briefing session will be held for intending candidates with a date to be confirmed closer to the event.
