Aṉangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Executive Board elections 2021

Following the raising of concerns by the APY Executive Board, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Premier, as Minister, has responded to their request to have the APY Executive Board general elections delayed, by proposing to exercise powers to determine alternative dates. Provisions under the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Land Rights Act 1981, while providing for the timing of the elections, allow the Minister to determine otherwise.

Should the Minister make a determination regarding the timing of the APY Executive Board elections, the Electoral Commissioner will make the necessary arrangements to schedule the elections on that basis and dates for the elections will be published on the ECSA website.
