The periodic election for the APY Executive Board took place on 5 April 2017.
Nominations were called for supplementary elections for 3 female members of the APY Executive Board in the following electorates of Mimili, Pukatja, Yunyarinyi, Anilalya, Turkey Bore and Iwantja, Amuruna, Railway Bore, Witjintitja, Wallatinna. Single nominations were received for two electorates and no nominations were received for Pukatja, Yunyarinyi, Anilalya and Turkey Bore. No elections were required.

Supplementary elections were held on 1 June 2012 for two electorates, Kaltjiti/Irintata/Watinuma and Watarru. The supplementary elections occurred because no nominations were received in those electorates for the APY Executive Board election of February 2012.
