A nominated entity is an associated entity that a registered political party has formally appointed to act as one of its nominated entities. Each party may appoint up to two nominated entities, provided they meet the eligibility requirements under the Electoral Act 1985.
The Electoral Commissioner must keep a public register of nominated entities, which lists the name and address of each nominated entity and the political party it is linked to.
