ONG, Oscar Zi Shao

Many people I speak to are concerned about the rising cost of living and growing pressures on small businesses in the city. These concerns are real and I share them. As a heart attack researcher at the University of Adelaide and a proud first-generation migrant, I’ve been fortunate to build a life in this city. Adelaide has given me many opportunities and I want to give back. With experience as a student leader at both university and national levels, I’ve spent years helping others find their voice. That same quiet determination and practical focus is what I will bring to council, working respectfully, listening carefully, and always aiming for outcomes that serve the whole community. The goal is simple: keep rates low, support small businesses, and ensure council decisions are thoughtful and transparent. I’ve never seen myself as a politician just someone who listens, works hard, and wants to serve. Policy platform: oscarong.com/policy

MAHER, Patrick

I spearheaded the Save The Cranker campaign - awarded the local Citizen Of The Year 2025 Award for Active Citizenship. A proven record of professional and community representation on arts, culture and disability, and of personally working from the frontline to get the job done. I’ve worked 15 years in the music industry, 4 years in the public service, and hold qualifications in music, government, and post-grad certificates in education and law. I am not a single-issue candidate: I stand for the interests of local residents, local businesses, our Park Lands, and more vibrant living culture. I’m progressive of heart and pragmatic of mind. As a resident, small business operator, and worker in Central Ward, I believe our civic leadership and governance deserves fresh, savvy, younger perspectives that are not captive of political parties, or mega-corporations and developers from interstate. I’m here to continue serving Adelaide - patrickforadelaide.com.au @patrickforadelaide 0439298 294

CABADA, Alfredo

Adelaide is a city brimming with potential, a place where everyone deserves to feel safe, connected, and proud to call home. I’m someone who brings ideas to life. I’ve launched and led local businesses, mentored emerging leaders, and delivered real community impact through the Rotary Club of Adelaide. As founder of The Innovation Factory, I’ve helped dozens of entrepreneurs grow bold ideas into job-creating, city-building ventures. I know how to turn ambition into action, and vision into results. I bring commercial clarity, clear priorities, and a hands-on mindset that gets things done. My focus: safer streets, thriving local businesses, better living, and a council that truly listens, includes, and delivers. I believe deeply in Adelaide’s promise, because I’ve lived it. And I know that with fresh energy, genuine collaboration, and practical leadership, we can build the vibrant future this city truly deserves.

ELLIOTT, David

In 2022 I ran for Central Ward and you put your trust in me to serve our city and ensure the future sustainability of Adelaide. I'm a sensible candidate who backs up my beliefs with my actions. As councillor, I have been a strong advocate for better street maintenance funding, safer walking & cycling, and heritage incentives. I stood firm on protecting the Park Lands from development & improved funding for their upkeep. I advocated for better affordable housing outcomes at the Flinders & Franklin St development sites. I continue advocating for sensible, sustainable development that preserves our city’s unique offering and grows our residential population to better support local businesses. I'm an office manager for an MP helping people on a daily basis, and am a former intelligence analyst in the Air Force and the Fair Work Ombudsman. I continue serving my community through active and public transport advocacy, while running a city-based consultancy and a local birdwatching group.

NOON, Carmel

Long-term Central Ward resident, property owner and CEO of a peak body based in Central Ward, supporting several hundred small businesses. An experienced business leader, board director and former CEO in local gov., I bring 40 years of city knowledge. I was elected in 2022 in Central Ward on primary votes only - the presiding Judge published that I gained no benefit from the illegal ballots that voided the election. The only Councillor in my term with 100% Council Meeting attendance record. I’m an independent with no political ambitions, I’m here for the right reasons. I’ve proven that I have delivered results and assisted my community with their issues over the current term even after stepping down; advocating for safety upgrades and representing over 900 Central Ward residents in the ERD Court. I believe in well-planned growth & balanced development, protection of parklands, a vibrant diverse city life, thriving residents and businesses. I listen and I act- www.votecarmelnoon.com.au

SHEARING, Colin

I’m Colin Shearing, city business owner and operator - your "Red Tape Buster" and a lifelong fighter for small business and community. After 50 years in retail, advocacy and leadership roles, I’ve seen how excessive bureaucracy, gobbledygook and rising council fees hurts traders and jobs. I’m running for Adelaide City’s Central Ward to improve fairness, common sense and a strong voice for those who keep this community moving. I’ll fight to protect access to carparking, remove pointless red tape, and back practical support for businesses. I’m not interested in committees for show - I’m here to get things done, focused on practical action, not political games. Making it easier to do business in the city leads to more jobs. I believe a thriving community and economy depends on a strong and growing business sector. Let’s make the City of Adelaide work for business and community. Contact: colin @colinshearing.com.au

PRICE-BROOKS, Declan

I was born, raised, and have lived my entire life in the City of Adelaide - and I wouldn’t live anywhere else. Its vibrancy is what makes it so great. But vibrancy can only exist if business and residents’ interests are brought together. I’m focussed on outcomes, not headlines. I studied science with a focus on genetics, right here in the city. I then began my career at a specialist city law firm and now work with the Australian Services Union as a data analyst & advocate. I will advocate for policies that incentivise businesses to contribute to on-street vibrancy and empower them to make decisions about what’s best for their precinct. I’ll push for council to balance the needs of everyone living in the city, including those who walk, drive and cycle. I’ll champion services that work for those in stratamanaged buildings. I’ll work for a mature approach to council discourse, that is outcome focussed and efficient. Vote 1 for a vibrant city. Local. Reliable. Ready to Represent.

GUPTA, Vivek

Adelaide Council spends $1Billion of our money every 4 years. A hopeless voter like me has no power, no voice and no standing. Small businesses have no support, a fifth of tenancies in the city are vacant, traffic situation is worsening, petty crimes are increasing, empty barbers, takeaways and 7/11s are openly laundering, e-scooters would now be legal on roads, impacts of immigration are not up for debate, parklands and prime real estate is being taken away from us. I want to address these things and inform the wider public about the hidden levers that are impeding us. I’d rather spend on structural problems than on vanity projects. Social media is easy, delivering lasting results is difficult. I want to be the voice that all of us are slowly losing. I want to represent that part of you, the voter, who has been left behind and silenced. I want to serve without any gain. Courage, in a leader, to face challenges and lead others, comes from love and loyalty. As voters, we deserve that.
