City of Unley - Goodwood ward

ESDAILE, Louisa
I have been privileged to call the beautiful City of Unley home for over a decade. I love connecting with
our vibrant community, be it at our local businesses, parks, libraries, or pool. I live with my 8 year old
daughter, who attends Goodwood Primary School, where I volunteer on the facilities, environment and
sustainability committee. If elected, I will represent the community with respect and integrity, working
to enhance public accessibility, advocating for active transport - my daughter and I primarily travel by
bike - and supporting sustainability initiatives like green and community spaces. With a PhD in
chemistry, a Master of Public Administration, and experience as a research scientist and policy
professional, I bring analytical skills, technical expertise, and a practical approach to decision-making.
I am committed to working together to build a more connected and sustainable Unley. For more
information, contact me via email or visit Louisa for Goodwood on Facebook.

ROACH, Tony
Having lived in the Goodwood Ward with my family for over 22 years, I understand local needs and will
be your strong voice in Council. I am a former Chair of the Goodwood Primary School Governing
Council, and a long-term volunteer at the Clarence Park Food Coop. My experience as a senior
manager in the social housing and homelessness sectors and membership of the Leaders Institute of
South Australia equips me with the skills needed to represent Goodwood Ward effectively. I am not a
political party member so will represent you independently. I am committed to enhancing active
transport for people of all abilities, expanding green space for the benefit of the entire community,
advancing the Unley Reconciliation Action Plan, taking local action on climate mitigation and
resilience, maintaining the character of our streetscapes and supporting local businesses. I am
committed to keeping rates low. Please vote in this byelection to ensure Goodwood Ward is well
represented in Council.

POTOCZKY, Kirsten
I’ve lived in the City of Unley for a decade and love its village feel and easy access. Our family
business is on Goodwood Road and my kids are at Goodwood Primary. I support local business, I’m a
volunteer at the School, and a long-term board member of the Clarence Park Community Centre. I
understand government, having worked at all levels in health, town and social planning and
community engagement. I’m formerly a town planner for the Heart Foundation and worked to ensure|
urban environments promote active living for all. Goodwood ward has many beautiful streets with a
great mix of retail, education, community, and small businesses. Upcoming transport and development
pressures will bring challenges and changes. In my career I’ve grappled with planning for development
and services that promote quality of life for existing and new residents. This includes everything from
parking, to trees, and community services. I want to hear from you about how Council can get the
balance right.

MCNALLY, Joshua
I’m Josh, a resident of the Goodwood Ward for 9 years. In my career I've worked mainly in Marketing,
Communications, and Partnership roles here in SA, nationally, and internationally. I currently work for
an international not for profit, using my commercial skills and experience to create new partnership
opportunities for the many organisations, businesses, and government agencies that interact with our
members, and it is this same experience I could bring to council. I am a volunteer member of Council’s
Business and Economic Advisory Committee, and that has further inspired me to serve my community
by nominating for council. Since moving to the area I have seen many changes to the area, and think
it is an exciting time to call this place my home. If elected, my commitment to my community is to
ensure the voices of this ward are heard on issues like housing, services, green spaces, and access
to amenities as our neighbourhoods continue to evolve.

WADE, Tori
Dr Tori Wade is a former psychologist, GP and health executive, with a PhD in telehealth. She has
been on a number of Boards, including the Heart Foundation, and is standing for Council because she
wants to keep contributing positively to her community. Tori supports locally provided renewable
energy to lower living costs and provide practical action on climate change; increased tree canopy
cover; enhanced libraries and community services; safer streets for walking and cycling, and initiatives
to help local businesses. In particular, Unley’s wonderful streetscapes need safeguarding from
inappropriate overdevelopment and tree loss. Tori’s experience with negotiating and working
collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes serves her well for the role of Councillor. Additionally, she
has the time needed to listen and respond to residents’ enquiries and concerns. Please contact Tori at
wadeingoodwood@ gmail.com or at 0417-878-150.

WRIGHT, Emma
Hello I’m Emma and I’m asking for your vote so I can continue to represent our community. What sets
me apart is I don’t have a personal agenda. I’m not a member of a lobby group or political party. My
focus is on ensuring the voices of Goodwood Ward residents and businesses are heard and
considered by council. I want to be your voice in council. My recent councillor experience 2018-2022,
established relationships within the council and my regular attendance at council meetings, means I
am ready to effectively resume the role of ward councillor. Especially helpful in a mid-term election. I
have been a proud Unley council resident since 2005, and as a parent of two children at Goodwood
Primary, I care about our community. Along with my tertiary qualifications in communications and
public relations, my career spans government, banking and finance and small business, experience
that allows me to bring practical solutions to the table. I would love to continue to be your voice in
council.

TIPPER, Denise
It seems that my previous profiles in which I attempted to return to Council in 2018 I chose to refer to
the United Nation’s global policy on Environment and Development; Our Common Future’. Four years
later in my 2022 profile I had a list of relevant skills and qualifications to report, but felt it was more
important to express my concerns on what a lack of communication with residents can cause; lack of
community participation, or the absence of necessary information early into city plans, designs and/or
negotiations. Now in 2025, Unley Council remains under a microscope where actions will have the
potential to compromise the Goodwood Ward community’s health, safety and environment, as well as
the long-term society and economy. 'Money now' cannot be our common future. Giving due respect
means true social equity, ensuring a safe and healthy environment that we can all be proud to leave
as our legacy. Time to vote me back on Council to represent all residents within this ward.
