District Council of Streaky Bay - Eyre and Flinders Wards - 14 July 2021
After much consideration and encouragement from other community members I have decided to run for Council. I was born and raised in Streaky Bay and after a short time in Darwin I returned to take over the family business which I have now been doing so for over 18 years. Throughout my many years of running a business I feel that I have acquired the knowledge, understanding and the ability to understand our community's needs and wants. I have the required skills to remain calm and respectful in all situations, even when feeling challenged and under pressure. I believe I can add value to the District Council of Streaky Bay through connecting with the community. My ability to keep an open mind when decision making and carefully consider different points of view from stakeholders, would greatly benefit me in representing the community. I look forward to representing you.

I have been a resident of Streaky Bay for 31 years. I live with my husband and two children and we own a successful Landscaping business. I have been an active member of the community involved with several committees including Streaky Bay Medical Fundraising Committee, the Streaky Bay and Districts Community Complex, the Mid West Netball Association, West Coast Hawks Netball Club and Ladies Gourmet. I am extremely passionate about the need for tourism and infrastructure for our community and will endeavor to work with Council and the community on making our region a place to be proud of.

Eyre Ward Greg LIMBERT was elected unopposed as the only nominated candidate for the position of Councillor for District Council of Streaky Bay (Eyre Ward). No election will be necessary. Flinders Ward At the close of nominations at 12 noon on Thursday 10 June 2021, a total of two (2) nominations were received and accepted for the supplementary election. In accordance with the Local Government (Elections) Act 1999, a draw was held after the close of nominations to determine the order in which names of candidates would appear on the ballot paper and the result of the draw was as follows: Profiles of each of these candidates are available by clicking their names above. An in-person briefing session for intending candidates was held at 10am on Saturday 5 June 2021, Streaky Bay Motel, 33 Alfred Terrace, Streaky Bay.
