An election is required for three registered architects for the Architectural Practice Board of South Australia. The term of office of the appointments shall not exceed three years and a member of the Board cannot hold office for consecutive terms that exceed nine years in total.

Nominations

Nominations open from Wednesday 5 February 2020 and must reach the Returning Officer at the Electoral Commission SA before 12 noon Tuesday 18 February 2020.

Nominations must be made on the approved form, signed by the candidate and two nominators eligible to vote in the election. All registered architects whose names are contained on the roll of registered architects as at 5pm Wednesday 5 February 2020 are eligible to nominate and vote in the election.

Candidates must attach a signed and dated profile of not more than 200 words in support of their nomination and may include one head and shoulders photograph (taken in the last 12 months) which will be forwarded to electors with their ballot paper. The profile must be limited to relevant professional information about the candidate and other information directly relevant to the functions or operations of the Board under the Act.

The profile and nomination form must reach the Returning Officer no later than 12 noon Tuesday 18 February 2020.

Nomination forms may be obtained from the Electoral Commission SA on request by emailing ecsa.elections@sa.gov.au or calling 08 7424 7400.

Voting

Should an election be necessary, ballot packs will be posted to eligible electors on Wednesday 26 February 2020.
