Supplementary elections

Supplementary elections may occur when a position becomes vacant within a Council. A vacancy can occur due to death, illness, resignation, or any other circumstances outlined in section 54(1) of the Local Government Act 1999 External link.

Due to the resignation of a member of the Council, a supplementary election will be necessary to fill the vacancy of Councillor for Lewiston Ward. The timetable for this election is available below. For more information, visit the Council's website:
