Funding and disclosure returns now available

Under Part 13A of the Electoral Act 1985, participants of the electoral process (including candidates, groups, registered political parties, associated entities, donors, and members of the general public who incur political expenditure above the threshold amount) are required to lodge returns with the Electoral Commissioner reporting details of political donations and expenditure.

The Electoral Commissioner must publish returns three business days after the day on which the return was due.

The first lot of Political Party Returns, Associated Entity Returns, and any Donor Returns were due by 31 January 2016.

Returns which have been lodged with the Electoral Commissioner can now be viewed on our website on the Public Disclosure page.
