Strategic Plan 2012-2016

Message from the Electoral Commissioner

South Australia has a strong democratic background and Electoral Commission SA is committed to ensuring that the public has every opportunity to engage in the democratic process.

Between major electoral events significant evaluation and process reviews identify improvements to service delivery while maintaining and enhancing a broad range of stakeholder expectations.

This Strategic Plan has a strong emphasis on the changing nature of our work and the need to respond to those challenges with flexible work practices that uphold our values. Our three key result areas provide a strong focus on the actions and measures we have identified to prepare us for the next cycle of election activity; the State general election and the Local Government periodic elections in 2014.

All employees contribute to achieving our strategic priorities and we will invest in our people, our most valuable asset, the skill and development opportunities to deliver our services to the community and stakeholders.

Electoral Commissioner
